Lost & Found
Lost & Found
A striking yellow cover together with the playful 3D font effect invite every avid reader and a demanding viewer for an adventurous journey through the last decade of David LaChapelle’s artwork. The catalog LOST AND FOUND, published by Pavleye Art and Culture, is mapping LaChapelle’s premiere exhibition in Slovak Republic, which consisted of 32 photographs. Major part of the curatorial concept created by Marian Pauer is a reference to old masters such as Michelangelo or Botticelli, which have inspired LaChapelle’s work for years. Apart from the curator’s text, the publication includes an in depth essay by Nili Goren (Tel Aviv Museum of Art) as well as the images of young LaChapelle shooting Andy Warhol’s legendary portrait. Take a chance and discover the surrealistic documentation of the times we are currently living.
